Lithuanian bodybuilder Vilius Sosnovskis began competing in 2015 and has participated in numerous national-level shows. Among his achievements are victories in the “Lietuvos taurės” and “Vilnius Cup” tournaments in the under-23 category in 2015. In 2016, he became the overall junior champion at the “Lithuanian Cup” and also took first place in men’s classic bodybuilding. In 2017, Vilius won the 20th Youth Championship of Vilnius in bodybuilding, the “Solar Cup” tournament, the VII Open “Vilnius Cup” bodybuilding competition, and the 27th Lithuanian Cup in the under-23 category.
The athlete has also made his mark internationally. In 2016, he became the champion in classic bodybuilding at the amateur “Rigas Perlas” championship held in Latvia, and then won gold in men’s bodybuilding up to 80 kg at the “Pepa Grand Prix” in Opava, Czech Republic. In 2017, Sosnowskis took first place at the International Bodybuilding and Fitness Tournament “Oslo Grand Prix” in Norway. The athlete has repeatedly placed in the top four at youth championships in Lithuania, Latvia, and Europe, and in 2017 received a letter of appreciation from the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė, for winning a medal at the European Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship in Spain.
In 2022, Vilius Sosnovskis’ career became even more successful when he earned the title of overall champion at the “Champions Cup Pro Qualifier” tournament and received his IFBB professional card. The bodybuilder made his debut in Jim Manion’s professional league in late July 2024. At the popular “Dubai Pro” tournament, he secured a solid ninth place in the open category. According to pre-competition preparation specialist Martin Winston, whom Vilius relies on for guidance, the athlete is currently fine-tuning his form to participate in the “Europa Pro” tournament, which this year will be the last opportunity for professionals to qualify for “Mr. Olympia.” “Europa Pro” will take place from September 14 to 15 in London, United Kingdom.
